Lexington One earns certificates of excellence for financial reporting | News

Lexington County School District One’s Department of Fiscal Services received certificates of excellence for the “2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.”

The Association of School Business Officials International presented the district with a Certificate of Excellence in financial reporting. The Government Finance Officers Association also recognized the department with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence. Both awards are the highest recognition offered by the association.

Chief Financial Officer John Butler also received the Distinguished Professional Eagle Award from the Association of School Business Officials International earlier this year. Butler earned the award based on his leadership as a school financial officer not only in our district but on the state level as well.
