Report: Suspect gives clerk $1, then snatches $10 bills from register | Crime
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a larceny at a local business.
The report said around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, a man entered the Corner Pantry located on South Lake Drive and asked the clerk for change for the air pump.
Deputies say the suspect handed the clerk one dollar, and when the clerk opened the register the man grabbed all the $10 bills.
The clerk told officers that three ten dollar bills were taken.
According to sheriff’s deputies, the suspect got into the passenger side of a silver in color pickup truck, with a 12 inch peace sign across the back windshield, and fled the scene towards Three Fountains.
Deputies say the suspect is described as a white male thin to average build last seen wearing a Gamecock red hoodie, a Gamecock red beanie hat, baggy pants and white and black Jordan’s.
