Investigators are asking for the community's assistance in locating the individual responsible for stealing 130 gallons of fuel from a West Columbia gas station.

According to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department incident report, $490 worth of diesel fuel was stolen from the Pitt Stop located at 125 Rolling Meadows Lane on June 2.

Investigators spoke with the store manager who stated that a middle-aged male with a bald head, pulled up in an 18-wheeler, pumped 130.357 gallons fuel and left without paying, according to sheriff’s deputies.

The truck is described as a light green 18-wheeler with a chrome brush guard, the report stated.
