“Canning for the Holidays” Class | Arts & Culture
“Basics of Pressure and Water Bath Canning for the Holidays” will be held in West Columbia. The class will be held at the State Farmers Market, Phillips Market Center, 3501 Charleston Hwy., West Columbia on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Hours are 10:00 am-2:00pm. Cost is $30. Nancy Harrison, Clemson Extension Agent, will teach.
Class includes an introduction to principles for safely preserving fruits and vegetables by pressure or boiling water bath canning and participation in a canning demonstration. Gift ideas for canned and pickled items for the holidays will be discussed.
